Yaotomi Shrine is one of the seven most famous Saraswati shrines in Japan, enshrining gods of luck, childbirth, and matchmaking and attracting many people for long time. The shrine is built on Takeshima Island which is connected with the main land with a 400 m long bridge, so you can simply walk and visit the shrine. As you approach the island covered with trees, the mysterious and divine atmosphere gets stronger. In fact, the island as a whole is the precinct of Yaotomi Shrine. That means, it is a divine land of gods that is isolated from the human world.
