Set slightly apart from Esaka Station, this old Japanese-style house is a charming hideaway basking in quietude. Visited by young and old, men and women, and even foreign tourists, Shunsaiten Tsuchiya gives you a break from the quotidian, serving beautiful tempura made with seasonal ingredients. Only multi-course meals are offered. Every dish is a carefully prepared masterpiece, but that isn't the only reason Shunsaiten Tsuchiya is so widely adored. The owner, Mr. Tsuchisaka, says its the surprising pop of [startling bitterness] or [unexpected flavor combinations] added to each dish of simple tempura. The spacious and relaxing Japanese-style atmosphere is also appealing.
