Maruya Honten Tokyo Midtown Branch is located on the 3rd floor of Tokyo Midtown Garden Terrace. It is a renowned eel restaurant that continues to be loved by the locals. The secret to the flavor of the specialty Hitsumabushi (eel bowl) is the exquisitely sweet sauce. It is made by mixing several kinds of soy sauce and mirin (sweet sake) with traditional Tamari soy sauce, resting slowly and adding more as it is used. You can enjoy the blissful taste of the sauce on the crispy and savory grilled eel. The restaurant is particular about not only the eel but also the rice, soy sauce, and water.  It is a traditional delicacy made by skilled chefs who have mastered the techniques of their profession.
