Being told that the food he made was delicious became the turning point.
(Photo, right) Born in Tokyo in 1985. Mr. Tazawa's passion for cooking was sparked when his family and friends told him the dishes he made during cooking class in elementary school were “delicious.” He trained under an MOF chef at Restaurant Pyramide in France and, after returning to Japan, honed his skills at Joel Robuchon. After serving as head chef and working in product development at bistros and restaurants in Tokyo, as well as in the foodservice divisions of various companies, he and his wife began operating Top Lounge, a lounge on the top floor of a high-rise apartment building in Akasaka, in 2024. In 2026, they opened Bon repas TAZAWA.
